Nora Maynard
Originally from Rockford, IL, Nora Maynard grew up singing everything from the Beatles to Bach cantatas. At age fourteen she started voice lessons, and by college this had become her primary instrument. She studied voice with John and Jolly Stewart at Washington University in St. Louis. After college she continued her classical vocal studies while also singing in a 13 piece funk band.
In 2009 she was invited to attend Longy School of Music where she received her Masters of Music in Vocal Performance in May 2011.
Nora encourages her students to first sing what they love, and then sprinkle in carefully chosen songs and exercises for technical development.
