Nicoletta DeRege

Nicoletta began playing violin at the age of five. She has been involved in multiple orchestras and musical production in the Midwest studying under Drew Lecher, a pupil of Itzhak Perlman. With her love for music and teaching, she has experience in music therapy for the elderly, with a soft spot for those with Alzheimer's or dementia.  She is currently volunteering her time and talents to the University of Mass Lowell String Project, where she gets to teach children of all ages about the beautiful world of music. Nicoletta's passion for playing and curiosity has given her experience in different genres of music including classical (solo and orchestral), blue grass/fiddle, movie music/ video game music, jazz, and modern.
