Gillian DeLear

Originally from Menlo Park CA, Gillian De Lear began playing drums at age ten. Throughout her school years Gillian played in band, orchestra, marching band and jazz ensembles.

Moving to Tucson AZ, in 1986, she began teaching High School marching drum line as well as drum set.

Gillian has played in many local and touring bands with styles ranging from Afro-pop, country, jazz, blues, and rock. In 1995, she won a TAMMIE, Tucson Area Music Award.

Gillian moved to Boston, MA in 2005 and earned a Bachelor Degree in Professional Music from Berklee College of Music.

In 2009 she released an original cd of free jazz duets.

Gillian continues to perform throughout the New England area.
