Chris Nowselski was educated at Wheaton College where he graduated Magna Cum Laude. At Wheaton, Chris founded the Wheaton Jazz Ensemble, which became an accredited course. After college, Chris worked in the public school system of Norton, Massachusetts where he taught General Music, Band and Chorus classes.
In 2002, Chris began his tenure with The Paul Effman Music Service. For over a decade with Paul Effman, Chris has been teaching Jazz Band, Concert Band and Marching Band. He has led schools successfully through numerous noted events, including marching in the St. Patrick's Day Parade of New York City and a holiday performance at Saint Patrick's Cathedral in NY. Intermittently, Chris co-directs the Paul Effman Honor Band, an appointment of advanced student musicians in the region.
Chris performs and teaches in professional capacities on saxaphone, flute, clarinet and bass. He has played with some of the region's premier bands including New York Minute, FDR Drive, Pocket Change and his own jazz quartet Sapphire Jazz. Chris has patented a teaching aid called FlutEase.
